The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It was started in 1948 as a result of the initiatives taken by Dr. Hriday Nath Kunzuru. The moto of NCC is "Unity and Discipline".
In National Institute of Technology Durgapur, the NCC was started for the first time in 2012 as a credit course subject. Luckily, the batch of 2012-2016 is the first batch to witness the essence of this great organisation.
Every year 50 brave and young cadets are inducted through a proper selection procedure in NCC. Our cadets do a March-past in all the major celebrations in and around the institute.
