Narayana Engineering College, Nellore

Narayana Engineering College, Nellore (NEC) is an engineering college in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India, run by Narayana Educational Institutions. Established in 1998, NEC provides technical education offering both graduate (Masters) and undergraduate (Bachelors) courses in Engineering and Technology. NEC is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). NEC has been ranked among the top 50 of all 550 engineering Colleges in Andhra pradesh. From 1998, undergraduate courses offered are Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, and Instrumentation Engineering. Courses in Electronics and Computers and in Bio-Medical Engineering were added later. As of 2010, NEC has a total intake of 480 students per year. The campus is located north of the city of Nellore, 2 km from Muthukur Gate at the heart of the city, and occupies 35 acres (140,000 m2). The campus is mainly composed of three blocks A, B, and C. Block B, in the center, is the Main Block with the administration center.The Visweswariah Auditorium has 600 seats, and facilities to support international conferences and college activities. NECTS is a college cultural festival organised by management and students in March–April each year.
