NIPS was started in the year 2007 in an eco-friendly campus sprawling 10 acres amidst mountains and lush green trees.History says that the society in the past was shaped by the famous Nalanda University. “Nala” means “Lotus” signifying knowledge, “Da” means to give. Hence the word “Nalanda” denotes the Giver of knowledge”.NIPS is one among the Chain of Institutions run by the Arunachala Gounder Educational Trust, the other schools being Nalanda Matric Hr.Sec. School , Krishnagiri, Poppy's Play School, a pre-school chain, Nalanda International Public School in Hosur, and the newly started Nalanda International Public School in Mettur.
