Naktala Pally Unnayan Samity

In 1950, a few energetic and enthusiastic youth started this club with a mission of developing and bridging the gap between youth and elders in a small hut like room covered with Tin. It is one of the oldest community place in this area where people from different walk of life and places used to come and discuss about development, Unity and communal harmony for which the club members and locals are proud of. And hence keeping with its mission 'NAKTALA PALLY UNNAYAN SAMITY' (NPUS) was formed, Since its inception, the club member were very interested into physical, cultural and social activities, so they made a small gymnasium for body building, used to participate Naktala Football League and clinched many remarkable victories. During the tragic flood in Bengal members of NPUS came forward with other volunteers and collected ration ,money and other donations in Kind to provide with Immediate relief for the Victims.
Beside above, they started various social & cultural activities and of course started 'Sharodiyo Durga Pujo' in club premises which is still being continued by us with the involvement of club members as well as local residents. Ma Durga – the god of eternal power & beauty to demolish all evils.
Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal inaugurated the Durga Puja in our Golden Jubilee year. With the time, we have moved forward a long distance. Presently, we have a two storied building with modern amenities. But, we, the club members remain the same in mind and following the footsteps of our founders and elders. We are continuing our Durga puja and other Pujas also. This year it will 65th year of our Durga Puja.
We are still very much involved with our social responsibilities. Education is the basic need for any developing country and its only possible if we do it area wise, We are running one Anganwari School in our club where many under privileged children are being taught and meals are provided with the help of Government and Volunteers. We organize Blood Donation Camp, Medical Check up and Eye Testing Camp from time to time every year at our club premises. We organized several Cultural Programs with renowned artists in last few years and the Dance School in our club premises is run by famous Mrs. Rita Koyral. We donate Clothing to older and needy women and children in our area during Durga Puja. We are always thankful to the sponsors , anonymous donors who give donations to the club so that we can continue in our mission and serve the underprivileged for their development and upbringing.
