Nagaland Organic Mission

Organic farming is a system of Agriculture practices that is eco-friendly and harmonious to nature rather than destruction. It involves techniques to achieve good crop for healthy food without damaging the natural environment or the people who live and work within. It is the system of Agricultural practices without the use of chemical inputs.
Traditionally, Agriculture practices adopted by the Naga farmers are without the use of any chemical inputs. Thus the crops produced in Jhum land are organic in nature.
However, there are certain norms and procedures to consider the products as 'Organic'.
Therefore, the project of Organic has initiated certain steps in order to make the land and the crops as Organic through organic certification.
