The school was established in 1963; temporarily run on the premises of the nearby Jogendranath Girls' School, to be shifted later to the school's present arena. In 1966 the school was upgraded to the status of a junior high school and some years later in 1970 and 1999, the school was accorded the statuses of a 'Madhyamik School' and a 'Higher Secondary School'.The school is a three-storey construction with two two-storey sides housing the primary and the secondary/higher-secondary sections.
