NAB Centre for Blind Women and Disability Studies

In the last twelve years, the NAB India Centre has supported directly more than 650 blind women beneficiaries, with trainings, counselling, support to Higher Education, Employment towards becoming self reliant with gainful careers and a life support. The centre is proud to be the only one of its kind in India to hold hands of adult and young and late blind women to take them forward on a path of independence.

The Centre is almost a self run instituition by visually challenged girls themselves, handling every aspect of the institution in a transparent manner right from the reception to the kitchen. You will find in the centre, any day, the visually challenged women handling the calls, cooking, teaching, supervising and at the same time, getting trained for even more tasks. Our adventure trips for sports like paragliding, rafting and rock climbing are quite famous. But all thanks to the DONORS and our consistent Volunteers.

The girls come to the centre from different States of the country like Bihar, Uttrakhand, M.P., U.P., Rajasthan, Haryana, H.P., Punjab, Jammu, Manipur, Assam, Sikkim, Arunanchal Pradesh and even from the neighboring countries like Nepal.

We have also been able to start a research wing as a part of our vision to get to the root of the problems and work on the actual issues.
