Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT Virar) was founded in 2010. It was instrumental in bringing computer education within the reach of a common man & was responsible for adding professional skill sets to lacs of students, making them capable to achieve higher goals in life and become successful, not only locally but also globally. The Bahujan Vikas Sanstha established the Maharashtra Institute of technology in 2010 to promote the cause of technical education in Virar and its adjoining Rural & Adivasi Backward area which has population of over 15 lac. The Institute is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Examinations.
