It gives us great pleasure to extend a very warm invitation to attend “Millennium Update
2015”-an International conference on “Assisted Reproductive Technologies, Endoth,
th th laparoscopy & Embryology” to be held at “The Deltin” Hotel, Daman on 25 26 & 27
December, 2015.
Assisted Reproduction is a growing field with almost daily advancements and technological
breakthrough. Newer modalities like Sperm Retrieval Techniques (Micro TESE), IMSI,
Assisted Hatching, PGD, newer Genetic tests to determine oxidative stress and DNA
integrity, time lapse embryology & vitrification/ERA etc have helped us give consistent
results and improve success rates.
With increasing awareness, more and more patients are accepting IVF/ICSI as a first time
treatment and with the different third party options like Ovum & Sperm Donation,
Surrogacy available, we are able to make nearly 80% of our patients pregnant within one
year. International patients now see India as a safe & economical destination and
subsequently medical tourism is on the rise.
Amidst all this euphoria & optimism, the clinician must remain vigilant, have an open mind
for learning new techniques, remain focused on the maintenance, trouble shooting &
quality control of the lab, develop a strong base for good ethical practice whilst at the same
time extend a human touch to the hapless infertile couple, offer hope, helping hand & a
shoulder to rest on & show maturity is understanding their emotional roller coaster.
