Mentors Academy India prepares candidates for the Civil Services, & other competitive examinations.
We enrol candidates with the necessary ambition and potential to compete at the Civil Services and other examinations. We organize their minds & personalities to achieve success.
The UPSC Prospectus in its Sub-Heading “Interview-Test” effectively summarizes potential required for their exams. The candidate will be asked questions on matters of general interest. The object of the interview is to assess the personal suitability of the candidate for a career in public service in an interview by a panel of specialists. It is intended to judge the mental calibre of candidates. It is also an assessment of their intellectual qualities, social traits and interest in current affairs. Some of the qualities to be judged are mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition, balance of judgement, variety and depth of interest, ability for social cohesion and leadership, intellectual and moral integrity.
Candidates must take a deep interest not only in their special subjects of academic study but also in the current events which taking place around them both within and outside India. These include modern currents of thought and in new discoveries around us.
Apart from the traits mentioned in the UPSC prospectus, there are other requirements that would be very important for success and therefore candidates must:
(i) Dress and behave in an appropriate manner
(ii) Appear neat and clean
(iii) Be mentally cool and focussed,
(iv) Learn to listen carefully
(v) Learn to speak clearly and slowly
(vi) Be thorough in his/her subjects,
(vii) Learn to communicate effectively,
(viii) Write simply and logically,
