MELIA Raicharan Vidyapith

Melia Raicharan Vidyapith caters the need of the schedule caste and schedule tribe students and it has a strength of about 1500 students and about 25 teaching and Non teaching staffs. The school has been in efficiently running the Mid Day meal s for the students of Class V to Class VIII. Inspite of varied hurdles this Mid Day meal Scheme is still on and students are served RICE, DAl, CURRY, EGG alternatively from Mondays to fridays..well the present Government scheme isto bring each child under the canopy of schools ie. SARVO SIKKHA MISSION. We too follow this mission and students are enrolled every year. we do not have any sort of problem while the admissions are taken in various standards. Not even a single student is turned down instead they are welcome to fulfil their dreams of being a school goer and study here under the care of the teachers.The teachers indeed have a very good rapport with the students. The medium of instruction is BENGALI and English is taught a sa second Language. Students are also exposed to Sanskrit language. we hardly have any corporal punishment here in our school. We instead follow the system of calling the concerned guardians and try to counsel the students in case of any sort of emotional problem or problem related to behaviour. Students are not imposed strict rule as such but are really guided to be disciplined and well behaved. The students also have access to MUSIC, DANCE, DRAWING, PHYSICAL EXERCISES, YOGA, AND GAMES like carrom, FOOTBALL, CRICKET,THROW BAL. we do have a small library where in students can access various books related to their subjects and also develop their reading and comprehensive skills.
