MBE Coal & Mineral Technology India Pvt. Ltd. was founded in the year 1967 when it’s principle, the erstwhile KHD Humboldt Wedag apprehended the potential in the coal and mineral beneficiation industry in the country. Since then, MBE CMT has been associated with setting up the most number of Coal Washeries and Mineral beneficiation plants in the country.

Originally known as KHD Humboldt Wedag at the time of its inception, the name was changed to MBE Coal & Mineral Technology India Pvt. Ltd. after the Coal and Mineral division was taken over globally by McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited, a part of the Williamson Magor group, chaired by one of the leading businessman of the nation, Mr. Deepak Khaitan.
