Matangi Mata Modhera

The small village of Modhera is 25 km Distance of the main city Mehsana. Another nearby bus stand is only 15 km from the city Becharaji and Chanasma. Mehsana city Maatangi Modheshwari Mata Temple is west location, near bus stand of Modhera. That is Kuldevi of Shri Dasha Vanik Modh and Visa Vanik Modh.

History of Modhera:-

Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh created Brahmins who were master in Vedas. Veda in Sanskrit Dharmaranya center so they can continue. The lords asked to Vishwakarma Brahmins to build houses, forts and temples in the State. Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh created six thousand Brahmins each.

He also gave the gotras and gotrasdevi. Brahmin could consent on their work, Brahma created kamdhenu caw and on order of Brahma kamdhenu created 36000 people by digging earth by her nails. This was known as gobhuja or gobhva. They settled near the village of Modhera was known by so Gambhu.
