Keeping the dream to have a well-knowledged and multi-skilled Islamic Scholars in mind, the visionaries behind MARKHINS started Markaz Khykha Institute of Higher islamic Studies (MARKHINS) at Ulsoor (near MG Road), Bangalore in the year 2010. At MARKHINS, students can stay and experience the knowledge-imparting concept of Islam in its real meaning by growing as students and transforming themselves into spiritual and social trend-setters of a new generation. By the Grace of Almighty Allah, MARKHINS I is commencing its successful journey into its eighth year with around 150 students. The objective behind this bold and expensive experiment involving integrated and intensive educational program spread over seven year period is to prepare a new breed of Islamic Scholars who would become Change Agents of Islamic community from being medieval to modern without in any way sacrificing the core and fundamental values of Islam. A Student who completes his full seven year course at MARKHINS will be:
(a) A Graduate/ Post graduate in Commerce of Bangalore University.
(b) An Islamic Scholar having studied Islamic Subjects thoroughly.
(c) Computer proficiency.
(d) Excellent English proficiency and
(e) Knowledge of another language other than one’s own mother tongue
MARKHINS is run and managed by M/s. Khykha Foundation with the academic supervision of Jamia Markaz, Calicut. MARKHINS provides a seven year comprehensive Da’wa course along with University and Post-graduate courses run concurrently at their campus in Ulsoor. On successful completion of the course, Muta-allims will be awarded a Bachelor Degree in Islamic Sciences (BISc) recognized by Jamiath Al Hind Islamiyya, Calicut together with B.com/M.com degree awarded by Bangalore University.
The course is residential. All expenses, including lodging is almost fully funded by M/s. Khykha Foundation, Bangalore. Presently there are about 150 students at MARKHINS. Members of the Faculty at MARKHINS are all well trained and experienced in their respective fields of specialization. Hostel and Mess facilities are state-of-the-art. Computer lab and Library at the Institute are well equipped. Markazul Huda Masjid is just 30 seconds away. An academic atmosphere co-existent with an all-pervading spirit of Islamic religiosity and brotherhood can be experienced by students all through their stay at the MARKHINS campus.
