Manihala jai singh

Manihala Jai Singh is a well known village of punjab.It got its name 'Manihala Jai Singh' from Sardar Jai Singh who belongs to this village and was a well known general of the army of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The remains of his fort are found in this village which was popularly known as 'ATTARI' in the village. This village is located 7 kms from Patti subdivision and nearly 12 kms from Bhikhiwind in Tarn Taran district. There is no such documentary proof about the existence of this village. There is a historic sikh shrine in this village that belongs to the 6th sikh guru Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the guru known as the guru of "MEERI" AND "PEERI".A fair is celebrated in this village every year from a long period of time in the memory of arrival of Shri Hargobind Sahib Ji, the 6th guru of sikhs. Thus,it proves that this village forms an integral part of the state of punjab.
