Malda District Central Co-Operative Bank Ltd.

We have pleasure to take pride in the occasion of the centenary celebration of our beloved Bank “MALDA DISTRICT CENTRAL COPERTIVE BANK LTD.” in this year.
Our Bank has kicked off its journey in the year 1916. and Sir Francis Stanley Jackson , the Honourable Governor of Bengal , inaugurated its own building at Malda in the year 1928. Then on the way of its journey it merged two other Banks named Chanchal Raj central Cooperative Bank Ltd. and Harishchndrapur Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. with it in the year 1958 . In accordance with the constitution and pivotal principle of cooperation , our Bank since its outset aimed its service at the amelioration of the poor and down trodden of the Malda District comprising small and marginal farmers , poor artesian , weavers and other under privileged and marginalised rural masses by providing their most demanded necessary finance to them through various type of Cooperative societies ,which are affiliated to our Bank , and through other loans for carrying various Government’s flagship projects into reality.
In the illuminated history of long 100 years, though through rise and fall, the name of our Bank has been sounded again and again for its contribution for taking part in bringing about social and economic changes and that is why our Bank has been rewarded for its contribution in view of achieving its definite objects, which it determined at the outset of its journey.
Besides our Bank has not only been confined in the limit of its primary and pivotal principle aiming at upliftment of poor and downtrodden but also through diversification of business it focussed its service by providing finance in the shape of term loan, Cash credit loan , house building loan, House repairing loan , Tatkal loan , Festival loan ,Car loan, education loan , Employees Cooperative Credit Societies loan and others to the people of middle and higher income group comprising serviceman , businessman etc.
At present our Bank is CBS enabled Bank with many updated facilities of the system provided to its customer and clients and concentrating to implement other facilities, which are yet to bring into reality. After all our Bank has been successfully able to instil faith in the mind of the people of entire Malda District and the people of Malda unhesitatingly has been coming to our Bank to enjoy and avail all round Banking facilities . In consequence of that now our Bank has been having huge amount of deposit and loans and earning profit at a stretch since 1991.
After all Our Bank has arrived in the field of such a prosperous condition and gained strength to face and cope with the tough competition in the Banking sphere by the virtue of well wish and cooperation of the people of Malda District . That is why we express our gratitude to the people of Malda from the core of our heart on the auspicious occasion of centenary celebration and look up with optimism that they will keep up their well wish and cooperation intact for our progress in the same pace in future. Side by side all of our customers and clients may rest assure that we shall be continued with our commitment to render our service in better way to them to the utmost of our capacity and ability in future.
