Majlis Arts and Science College, Puramannur is a premier Higher Educational Institution (Run by Al Majlisu Liddahwathil Islamiya) , a First Grade College in Self financing stream, the first its kind in Malappuram District, affiliated to the University of Calicut and approved by the Government of Kerala. The College is located in a lush green campus sprawling over 25 acres of land in Irimbiliyam Grama Panchayath, is located at Puramannur 1.5 km from Valanchery to Perinthalmanna Road. The scenic and serene environs of the campus in conducive for higher education which is gifted with an enrapturing scenic beauty and with serene and peaceful atmosphere. It started functioning in 1995 with 4 courses and elevated to a First Grade Post Graduate College in 2001 with 6 Under Graduate courses and MSc Computer science.

At present the College has 10 Under Graduate Programmes and 7 Post Graduate Programmes. The College grew to a full-fledged institution distinctly different from other Colleges, offering courses catering to the needs and taste of the New Millennium. while striving to live up to the expectations of the society, the institution have made quantum leaps in its academic pursuit. Admission is open to students of all community. Academic life is never tainted by any kind of discrimination whatsoever - ethnic, social or religious .50% the seats are filled in open merits strictly adhering to the norms and directive of the University, the remaining 50% is reserved for Management quota out of which 20% is set apart for the poor deserving Orphans and Destitute. The students under this scheme are offered free education. The College has a well designed three storied building with updated infrastructure facilities housing an administrative office, a ladies hostel, well knit library, well equipped laboratories including a language lab and other support services.
