The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Educational, Cultural and Social welfare society, Malout (Regd.), Sri Muktsar Sahib is running an educational institution Maharaja Ranjit Singh College, Malout under the supervision of S. Mandeep Singh Brar (Chairman), S. Amrik Singh Sidhu (Vice-Chaiman), S. Lakhwinder Singh Sidhu (Gen. Secretary, Director S.A.D. Bank Chandigarh, Chairman P.A.D. Bank, Jalalabad) and S. Piratpal Singh Gill (Secretary) are giving there services honestly for the welfare of the students of backward areas. The college had a lush green campus extending up to 8 acres in a peaceful, traffic and pollution free environment. Established in 2005, it is serving the people of this area. The college has provided free study to girls till 2008 and also giving relaxations in fee for girls now. In 2006 the grand Pajnab University Zonal youth and heritage festival was held in which Late. Bibi Surinder Kaur Badal had visited and praised the arrangements made by Management Committee and staff. We are also helding Minni Festival every year in which the every School on block level can be participated. Once S. Parkash Singh Badal (C.M. of Punjab) had also visited in this competition and also praised this step which is taken by the management and principal and staff to develop the ability of the students who are studying in the schools at block level. Every year the Grand annual function is held in which Ministers, M.P., S. Harpreet Singh Koatbhai (MLA, Malout) attend the function. The religious JAP TAP SAMAGAM was held from 28 Sept. to 4 Oct. 2012 by Baba Sukhdev Singh Rumi (Bhucho Wale). Biba Harsimrat Kaur Badal (M.P., Bhatinda) has visited here on first day and also listened the Parvachans the religious Person. S. Parkash Singh Badal (C.M., of Punjab) and local leaderships and sangat had visited here and listened the Parvachan very humbly as a common man. Many programmes and seminars are held for the development of the students by the different famous personalities from different field every time. The sprawling campus divided into various blocks, has all modern amenities and infrastructure. An aircooled library and two computer labs with latest technology. Internet helps the students to go ahead in their motive. Experienced and highly qualified staff is always ready to help the students. This institution is running successful units of NSS, NCC, GGSSC and Legal literacy Club. Separate canteens for girls and boys are available. Better transport facilities are provided here. Special programmes for cultural and sports are arranged every year. Our Bhangra team got the first prize on zonal twice and other teams like Giddha, Malwai Giddha, Folk Orchestra and Jhumer are our famous teams. Tai Commando team has also won the prize at national level and participated in inter national games. Our Fencing and Boxing Team achieved the first prize at state level. Our other teams like, Kabbadi, Volly-ball, Foot-bal are the one of the best items. In academic section our achievements are marvelous. The result of BCA 3rd got First rank in District. The students of every class passed the examinations with good marks every year. Free books are provided to every student of BCA classes. Special programmes are arranged for the recruitment for the students of BA and BCA in IT companies.
