Mahakali Groups

Mahakali group was incorporated in September 2001 by Mr. Raj Kumar Choudhary, a small businessman from a small village in Bihar - Ladugar, Banmankhi.

Mahakali Group started its operations as Bharat Shakti & Birla Yamaha Pump Set dealer in 2001, under the name Mahakali Distributors with around 5-10 manpower. The company saw many ups and down but finally proved to be a successful venture. Soon after few years, Mahakali Distributors expanded its businesses and joined hands with Mahindra tractor division in November’2005. In the year 2006 Mahakali closed the operations of Bharat Shakti & Birla Yamaha Pump Set.

From its humble operations having a few staff selling pump set in 2001, the group grew up in strength with more than 50 staff members working for it. Mahakali Distributors achieved many awards and recognitions for its great performance. Mahakali Distributors gave a big jump to the market share of Mahindra tractor division from 6% to a whopping 60% by the end of 2006 Financial year. And to this day it is commanding the same hegemony in market share of 60% i.e. precisely for 9 years.

In the year 2007, to increase its scope, Mahakali Group focused on Farming Equipment as an ancillary business with the aim to cater to the demand of Trailor, Cultivators, etc. in the agricultural market.

On 21st Feb 2009, Tata Motors offered its full range CV dealership to Mr. Raj Kumar Choudhary for the district of Purina, Katihar, Kishanganj and Araria. With Tata coming under the umbrella of Mahakali Group, Mahakali Motors Pvt. Ltd. was born. With limited resources and few helping hands, Mahakali Motors had begun its glorious journey in the automobile industry.

The company saw a change in command when Mr. Ranjeet Kumar Choudhary, the elder son of Mr. Raj Kumar Choudhary, joined the business in the year 2009 as Director of Mahakali Distributors. From the very beginning, Mr. Ranjeet had realized that growth was the only way of survival and this wouldn’t be possible without delighting the customers on all the fronts, so he invested in infrastructure, manpower and systems, which enhanced the company’s image with the manufacturer as well as the customers it served. With the strategic and aggressive moves of Mr. Ranjeet, Mahakali Distributors achieved many laurels and recognition. Within a few years of his joining Mr. Ranjeet took Mahakali Distributors to No. 1 position in Bihar and among the top 10 dealers in the Eastern region.

In 2013 “Tata OK” dealership was offered to Mahakali Group to refurbish old vehicles of Tata and sell them.

In August 2014, Mr. Sanjeet Kumar Suman, the younger son of Mr. Raj Kumar Choudhary, joined Mahakali Group. The company’s motto "Because We Care" was coined back then. It is his belief that we are here to make ever-lasting relationships with customers. The company strives to add more customers every year to its Family and retain the loyalty of the old ones through better service and commitments. Initially under his supervision, Service of Mahakali was given more focus along with the HR department.

At Present Mahakali Motors has more than 300 employees and has its Head Office at Purnia and 3-S (Sales, Service, Spares) branches at Gondhwara and Araria along with 1-S (Sales) branches in the following places – Forbesganj, Araria, Katihar, Saharsa, Madhepura, Triveniganj and Kishanganj.

Mahakali always has been actively participating in social works since its establishment.

In the year 2008 when Bihar witnessed one of the most disastrous floods in the history of India. Mahakali was the first one to open a relief camp to help out thousands of poor people whose houses were destroyed by the flood. We provided Food, Cloth, Water, Medicines and other necessities to the affected and bereaved families. With the support of Mahindra & Mahindra, Mahakali Continued to support for at least a month with total expenditure of around 10 lakhs.

There have been other Spiritual activities in which Mahakali has contributed to, like constructing temples and helping the poor.

On 5th of January every year since the inception of Mahakali group, Mr. Raj Kumar Choudhary, on the occasion of his birthday distributes free blankets to the needy. On the very same occasion hundreds of poor people are given free lunch.


Apart from helping the needy, Mahakali is also conscious about giving back to the environment for which it has done many “Plant a Sapling” activities thereby making our planet earth a greener place.

Continuing with the efforts of doing something great for our country and for the mother Earth, Mr. Sanjeet Kumar Suman, Director of Mahakali Motors has a wish to open an NGO to make our efforts more focused and effective. There is also plan of opening the First Prepaid Cab service in Koshi region.

To help poor people under Mahakali NGO, we are planning to open an Orphanage, and Vrudhalaya (Old Age Home).

On an average we spend around 35 to 40 lakhs every year towards helping our country and environment.
