Madurai Airport

Madurai Airport is a customs airport serving Madurai and its surrounding districts in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The airport is located about 12km from the Madurai railway station and near State Highway 37, the airport was established in 1957 and is the Fourth-busiest airport in terms of passenger movement in the state after Chennai, Coimbatore and Trichy and Third-busiest in aircraft movement in the state after Chennai and Coimbatore. Madurai airport recorded a whopping 1,20,554 of overall passenger movements surpassing Trichy Airport by 3000 passengers with an overall load factor of 86%.
