Lokpanchayat

In 1990 senior freedom fighter & social activist Shri. Achyutrao Patwardhan appealed to youth of Maharashtra ti take up water conservation based Ideal village development work. Considering this appeal, Rashtra Seva Dal youth from sangamner formed Volunteer Groups and started work in drought prone areas of Sangamner. They selected one village and started watershed development work with long term goal to convert village into Ideal village. Lokpanchayat is working continuously till then. Lokpanchayat is platform for youth, who work for progress of community.
Lokpanchayat is working since 1993 on the principles of Freedom, Equality and Brotherhood. Lokpanchayat's basic pillars of working are social justice, Democracy, Science based approach and Secularism. It's work is based on principles of sustainable development and Environment Conservation for years together.
