With the advent of globalization, the ground rules of business have changed. There is a complete absence of constraints. It is an era of ambiguity and hence openness to change is the need of the hour. This change calls for flexibility in terms of technology, management as well as social outlook on part of any organization which wishes to sustain and grow.
Academia holds the responsibility of producing the torchbearers who would spearhead this change in the industry. This realizes the need for an alignment between our prime focus areas and the requisites of the corporates. The roadmap is ready for us. We have to assess the global business scenario, evaluate the needs of the organizations and then bridge the existing communication gap between the academia and the corporates. Leadership Conclave provides the required platform for an open dialogue between the industry experts and academicians to discuss various aspects of leadership. The focus is to be on the challenges faced and the dilemmas caused. Singularity of these in the Indian context would be a key highlight.
Society is a large stakeholder in the value addition process of all businesses. With this objective, it is imperative to formulate a business framework that would consider the benefits to be imparted to the society as an integral part. Hence, this Industry-Academia Collaboration has society as an added dimension which is to be explored and treated as a partner.
