Khanapur - The Laxmi Narayan Antique Items Museum is situated 1.5 Km away from Khanapur. Bhagwan Narayan Jadhav a young, talented personality from Posewadi put his personal efforts to establish this museum. This museum has put Jewel in crown of Posewadi, it consisted in 30 x 20 Sq.Ft. premises. You can see various items like, Niranjan, Aarti, Panti, Samai, Panchrati, Lamandiva's, Sun God, Rock Lamps, Gas Lamp, Kerosene Lamp, house made from burnt clay with design, Tortoise, Temple, Elephant shape 50 lamps, which marvelously please our eyes. There is on special lamp in museum, which is 800 years old and having holes and very light in weight. This lamp consumes oil, but it does not leak. The old stamp paper used in British East Co. regime for house transactions and monetary dealings, Queen Victoria, Edward 7th Pancham Jeorge, Sixth Jeorge, Republican of India, Ganpati Sansthan of Sangali, Shahu regime of Kolhapur, Kishangadh, Travankore, Rajasthan, Rajkot, Punjab, Bharatpur, Jodhpur, Holkars, Stamps of all these regimes of Rs. 1, 2, 8, 100 etc. in 120 numbers. 350 key chains, 400 jokers of cards, Burhani Regime of 750 years back, Bahamani Sultan, Aurangjeb, coins of the lineage of Shivshahi, British, Madhavrao Shinde, Mahadaji Shinde, Holkars, Indoor Regime, Hundis of Gandhij's era, Dhabbu Paisa, Hole Paise, Naya Paisa, One Anna, Twl Anna, Queens coin of silver, King's coins, Rs.100 note of World Word 2 period, Hone (coins) of Shivaji Maharaji's Coronation, copy of Shivaji Maharaj's coronation ceremony, items collected from Russ, Bhutan, Italy, Kuwait, USA coins 1500 in numbers. The museum also consists, horn of deer, horse, flying bird, hanuman, snake shape murals. First day of publication of first postal ticket called as First day Covers. First day covers which contents Mahatma Gandi's 10 signatures in different language, more than 700 Meghdut cards spreading messages of blood donation, eye donation, black magic eradication, environment, pulse polio, aids etc. The museum also contents old and antique writing instruments like Tak, Boru, Fountain Pens, 400 pens in the shapes of animals, birds, 110 erasers, Sent Pistols, Shoos, Cock shaped Dagger, Temples, 1300 bottles of different shapes and all these contents in separate section of museum. Different kinds of gramophones, Panpuda, Phanerpeti, Charakha, different animals horns, sewing machine of Willer and Wilson of 250 years old, cameras of 90 years old, 150 type locks, weight measures from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 shares upto 35 share, Koval, Neval, Chipt, Aadshir like wooden, iron and glass measure. We used to throw away the match-box after it become empty. But he has collected a different world of match boxes from various countries. These match boxes contents pictures of famous personalities, leaders, hero-heroines, national heros, city's beautiful locations, famous air lines, international festivals, sports events, five hotels, 1 to 100 numbers of British Raj era (1905), different kind of 13 match boxes which will tour us through the whole world. The items like wooden, ironed shaped items, Kumkum boxes with designs, Flowerpots, wooden God Temple, Ravi, Pardi, Cannon ball, Budhalis used in Shivaji Maharaj's era for lighting torches, stove items, Nut crackers, Lime box, Press of British era, egg incubators, water hitting pot etc. You can see 700 famous personalities signatures, who have visited this museum like national sent Mother Teresa, superstar Amithab Bachchan, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, P.V. Narsimha Rao, Dr. Shriram Lagu, Sharad Talwalkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Nana Patekar, Poet Narayan Surve, Medha Patkar, Anup Jalota, Shridevi, Sanjay Dutt, Danny etc. In India's freedom fighting movement, the lady who first floated Tiranga i.e. Aruna Asafali, Shahid Bhagat Singh, Vasudev Balvant Phadke, Senapati Bapat, Subhash Chandra Bose, Tilak, Agarkar, Savarkar, Mahatma Gandhi, Lala Lagpatrai have grate anticipation. To honour their dedication in India's Freedom Fight, various postal stamps were printed. More than four thousand postal tickets of nature's rare plants, flowers, fruits, art cultures, sent, great artists, religious sent, players, historical monuments, scientists, space ships, prime ministers, presidents, social personalities. This museum also contents the rival countries stamps lying side by side. Also contents old age rural treasures like Mot, Jate, Ukhal, Pata, Varvanta, Utrand, Raanjan (Big pot), various types of old clocks, hand written scripts, British age radios, various types of hand fans, mirror boxes, small mute movie projectors, pancpale, various Charkhas etc. He is a dedicated person, who is organizing exhibition to get aware new generation for our marvelous past and tradition. This book will be publishing in short time. He has exhibited this items in Mumbai, Pune, Sangli, Miraj, Ichalkaranji, Baramati etc. 35 places. The school trips were used to visit this museum.
