Lakheri

Lakheri is a town with municipality in Bundi district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.It is located in southeast northern Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located Around 180km south of the state capital, Jaipur. Lakheri is subdivision headquarter since 2002. Mamta kumari tiwari (RAS) is deputy Collector & Majistrate of lakheri subdivision. This is the second largest city after Bundi in the district.Mostly surrounded by agricultural lands & villages the most distinct feature of Lakheri is a cement manufacturing unit of ACC Ltd. This plant is the oldest running cement plant in Asia (1912-1913). But with the passage of time the plant has undergone expansions to incorporate the latest technology in cement producing. The latest expansion project being completed in April 2007. Even the MD of ACC cement, in an interview with a private news channel, has predicted a 12-15% rise in cement production from Lakheri plant. And Lakheri is also fabulous for Brick (use in construction) business. With the production of cement, Lakheri is also producing talents in the field of film-making.LAKHERI MOVIE MAKERSLAKHERI MOVIE MAKERS is an independent film making social site where film makers share their ideas in the form of short films or musical video.
