LAINAT MINISTRY

It is made to restore the dignity of marginalized communities by delivering effective development solutions using a holistic needs-based approach. It emphasizes on values, self-respect and dignity of the people in uplifting the quality of life of the ultra-poor and disaster communities.


Mission statement: “Bringing back dignity to people and empower people to reach their full potential through a sustainable, integrated development approach.”


Vision Statement: “Reaching the people, especially unaddressed and marginalised group of people so that they will have opportunity to live with dignity, hope and healthy self-esteem.”


OBJECTIVES:

1. The social stigma associated with issues such as HIV/AIDS, CSW’s and PLHA by working with organizations working on these issues.

2. To give special attention to teenagers and women who are victims of domestic violence, sexual harassment and other forms of physical and mental torture.

3. Providing legal support and advocacy for clients who require such supports.

4. To work with psychiatrist at the hospital if there is any need of referrer counselling.

5. Networking with minded (well-wishers like to promote professional counselling by setting up efficient counselling services.

6. Integration of both spiritual and professional counselling

7. To improve the quality of counselling services by strengthening and supplementing existing counselling services.

8. To help in reducing -) organizations for efficient and better support system

LAINAT Ministry Counselling Centre

LAINAT Mission Counselling Centre emphasize among the marginalized groups of society, viz. Female Injecting Drug Users (FIDU), People Living with HIV//AIDS (PLHA), Commercial Sex Workers (CSW’s), Orphans, Widows and women victims of other forms of social oppressions. Its goal is to provide counselling services and creating a confidential and safe platform for them to air their feelings and difficulties by providing psychosocial and spiritual support to the clients.
