Kolkata Freedom RUN 2016

Independence Day is an annual observance celebrated every year on 15th of August. It is a day of great significance for the people of India. At this day India got freedom from the British rule after long years of slavery.
It was not so easy for the India to get freedom from the Britishers however; various great people and freedom fighters of India made it a truth. They had sacrificed their lives in attaining the freedom for their future generations without worrying about their comfort, rest and freedom. Thus this is the day for all to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who had contributed a lot and fought for the Independence of India. And nothing like sports can be better activity to feel the spirit & celebration the joy with an enactment to do something for our society & nation as well.

Kolkata Freedom Run has been conceptualized on this vision incorporating activity like Running & Walking articulating points like Freedom through Education, Freedom of Women Rights & Freedom from Diabetes.

Organizer: Real Sports India supported by West Bengal Road Race Association. It will be under strong supervision and with all security measures and medical check up.

Date: 14 th August (Sunday) from Baishnabghata-Patuli Uponibesh (near Goldsmith School)

Category: RUN-15K /10K/ 5K Run & 5K. Walk

Participation Certificate to all & Medals to all finishers of 15K & 10K and for first 50 finishers of other categories.

Kolkata Freedom Run Rules:

• By agreeing to participate in this event at any category you declare to be medically fit to take part. For any kind of injury or damage while you participating in run/walk none either from organizers or their associated partners will be responsible or liable by any means.
• The organizers reserve the right to stop any participant from participating who is found medically unfit.
• For security reasons, articipants are requested to come without any baggage. It is strongly recommended that you do not leave valuables like mobile phones, cameras, jewellery, watches, purse, electronic gadgets, etc. in the open space and keep it under your responsibility.The organizers are not responsible for any kind of loss or damage of your baggage and belongings.
• Decission of route officials and route director will be final and all participants have to abide by them. For any unsporting reasons race officials can cancel any participant's participation in the event.
• Participants have to cooperate with the police,security personnels, vollunteers and route officials will be deputed at venue and en route for your own security and comfortability on that day.
• Photgraphs taken of participants during the event on race day will be of sole rights of the organizers and can be used for promotion of the event in media and other medim, thus no claim further will be entertained.
