More about Kiran Nadar Museum of Art

KNMA aspires to become a place for confluence, through its curatorial initiative and exhibitions, school and college workshops, art appreciation discourses, symposiums and public programs. It is focused on bridging the disconnect between art and the public and enhancing museum-going culture in India. In order to activate the museum as a site for visual and intellectual dialogue, we are developing innovative programming and seeking active collaborations.

Shiv Nadar Foundation
The Shiv Nadar Foundation (www.ShivNadarFoundation.org) has been established by Shiv Nadar, Founder, HCL - a leading technology and IT enterprise, with over 90,000 employees across 31 countries.
The Foundation, established in 1994, is committed to the creation of a more equitable, meritocracy based society by empowering individuals to bridge the socio-economic divide. It is focused on the underdeveloped disciplinary areas in India related to transformational education, creativity and art.

The Shiv Nadar Foundation has set up the SSN Institutions (www.SSN.edu.in) in 1996, comprising the SSN College of Engineering (already a highly ranked private engineering college in India), in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Building on the experience from successfully running the SSN Institutions, the Foundation has set up the Shiv Nadar University (www.snu.edu.in) in a 286 acre campus in Greater Noida. In addition, the Foundation runs the VidyaGyan schools (www.vidyagyan.in) in Bulandshahr and Sitapur; a radical social experiment in nurturing leadership from amongst highly gifted rural poor children in Uttar Pradesh. The Foundation has also set up the Shiv Nadar School (www.shivnadarschool.edu.in), a K12 initiative aiming to provide education that creates lifelong learners. The Foundation has also launched the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, India’s first philanthropic private museum.
