Kiphire Wildlife Division

Kiphire Wildlife Division is headquartered at Kiphire district of Nagaland, India. Its jurisdiction covers 5 districts - Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Tuensang and Phek; all of which share an international boundary with Myanmar. The forests of these districts are the pride of Kiphire Wildlife Division because of their rich biodiversity which also encompasses some of the most pristine untouched forests of not just Nagaland but also of the world. The most notable landmark of the Division is Fakim Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to some of the most threatened and endemic mammals, birds and plant species. This Sanctuary lies at the foot of Mt. Saramati, which is also the highest non-Himalayan mountain peak of the country at 3840m asl.

It is not only our duty but also our pride to safeguard the flora and fauna of this region; to let the natural splendour of Nagaland be seen in its full glory. Together we can!
