Khanak Joshi

My name is Khanak Joshi- Sufi Singer...Born in Shirdi (Maharashtra).

I am student of Indus International School, Bangalore.

I started learning Indian Classical (Hindustani) Vocal music since I was 3 years old from Shri R.P Singh ji & Vidushi Uma Garg (Dean of Music faculty Delhi University), Pt. Arun K Sharma while living in Haridwar.

Currently I am learning from teachers of Shankar Mahadevan Academy, Bangalore. I am also learning from Ustad Harikishan Pahwa ji from Bangalore, Ustad Ghulam Murtuza Khan Niyazi ji from Karachi and Ustad Tanveer Ahmed Khan ji from Delhi..

I have won many awards participating in inter-school, city level & National competitions .

I was awarded Uttrakhand Idol Award for my acting skills by ZEE BUSINESS channel. I was invited by ALL India Radio Najibabad, Delhi & Cuttack for recording my interview & performance for Children’s Programme. I was invited by DELHI DOORDARSHAN for performing in children’s programme named SATRANGA BACHPAN and Suvarna Tv , Udaya TV....I am Winner of World-wide Talent Hunt 2013 Contest organised by Shanker Mahadevan Academy & Indus International School,Bangalore.

Being winner in the above contest I was awarded scholarship by Indus International School, Bangalore to study free till 12th standard and also learn free music by Shanker Mahadevan Academy till I complete my schooling. I have performed with Shanker ji on 22nd March 2014 at Indus International School and later at Park Hotel, Bangalore.

I am recipient of THREE very prestigious awards--- National SANGEET SHREE Award by International Theatre Olympiad in Cuttack on 30th September & KALA KEERTI by Universal Sanskritik Natya Sodh Academy, Dehardun and Mumtaz Shreen Award by Mehfil-e- Nisa, Bangalore..

I can sing in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and Persian...
