Kendriya Vihar (Kolkata)

Set up under the aegis of Ministry of Urban Affairs and Employment, Government of India to undertake Group Housing Schemes for the Central Government Employees, on all India and no profit no loss basis.

The scheme for execution of the project at Calcutta was announced in November 1992. The project has been executed on 9.75 acres of land acquired through M/s Simplex Concrete Piles (India) Limited, who had been appointed for the execution of the above project, on turnkey basis. The complex is located on VIP Road at a distance of approximately 3.0 kms from Dum Dum Airport towards Calcutta.

The construction and development works commenced in October 1994. The construction has been carried out as per designs and plans approved by the local authorities. The residential complex has been named as “Kendriya Vihar” Calcutta. The state Government in a Tripartite Agreement agreed to extend necessary co-operation in providing water, electricity and other facilities.
