Varanasi (Kashi) – the City of Light, is said to be over 15,000 years old – the oldest inhabited city in the world. Legends say that this magnificent city was the abode of Adiyogi himself, who consecrated the city in the form of a powerful yantra with 468 shrines arranged in a geometric pattern.

Kashi is a living testimony to the variety and exuberance of India’s countless spiritual paths. Today, even after so many thousands of years, the city is alive and vibrant, drawing hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world.
