Karahiya - करहिया

KARAHIYA is situated about 35 km south east of ghazipur city and 93 km east of varanasi city near ganga river in ghazipur district in the state of uttar pradesh,India.
This village was established by sikarwar rajputs and still predominantly populated by them.The population however comprises all the sections of the society,and the people of this village live in peaceful atmosphere.Currently the population of the village is 12000.In northern side of this vilage there is holy river ganga and railway station on the southern side.On the east there is village gahmar(its largest village of asia) and a market named bhadaura in western side.
