The Kamalasagar Kali Temple of Kasba also known as Kasba Kali Bari is about 27 km away from Agartala, the state capital. Kali Temple is famous pilgrimage centre in Tripura situated on a hillock over looking a vast lake called Kamala Sagar. The lake at the border of Bangladesh is a scenic destination and a good picnic spot. The image of the goddess in the temple resembles that of Dasabhuja Durga or Mahishasurmardini. The Goddess made up of sand stone, is worshipped in the temple as Kali and the presence of a Shivalinga at its feet has led to the naming of the temple as Kalibari.
