Kalaz Dance Company

Kala'z Dance Academy is a professional dance academy based in Kharghar, Navi-Mumbai, specializing in URBAN blend (Hip-Hop) classes.

Started in May 2006, the focus of Kalaz Dance Academy is to provide students of all ages and ability with a learning environment that is safe, positive and comfortable. With no exam pressure, it’s a place where you can come along and learn exciting dance routines, improving your fitness and co-ordination all at the same time. Each term every class learns a new URBANblend dance, with the finished product being performed in an end of year show for family and friends in Term 4.

Kalaz Dance Academy is run by Sonia Deshmukh. Sonia started formal dance training at the age of 12, learning a variety of styles over the years including jazz, bollywood and hip-hop. In 2007/2010 she attended SDIPA in Vashi. Prior to founding Kalaz Dance Academy in 2010, she was a Dance teacher at K.P.C English High School of Dance in 2008. She has also been involved in community productions.
