JSS Hospital, Mysore

JSS Medical Services Trust is constructing a new multi specialty Hospital with advanced and modern features in order to serve the people better.

The present JSS Hospital in Ramanuja Road has a long history. In order to serve the needy and poor sections of the society and to bring quality medical service within the reach of the poor, His Holiness Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji started J.S.S. Health Centre as early as 1963 on a small scale under the aegis of JSS Medical Service Trust. Thus the seed of the present Hospital was planted. It is currently a 1200-bed hospital with
35 specialties and super specialties. It is now serving as a teaching hospital to the JSS Medical College.

JSS Hospital is one of the pioneers in offering comprehensive medical services in Mysore. A notable feature of this hospital is that it caters to the needs of the patients of rural parts of the districts viz., Mysore, Chamarajnagar, Mandya Coorg and Hassan in Karnataka and Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu. It treats on average, 800 to 1000 patients daily in outpatient department and has facilities to accommodate 1200 in-patients. Several health activities are organized in rural areas to create health awareness.

Apart from extending the clinical facilities to the JSS Medical College, it also serves as training hospital for the students of JSS Nursing College, Nursing Schools, JSS College of Physiotherapy and JSS College of Speech & Hearing. All the departments have well experienced staff members backed by sophisticated equipment and adequate infrastructure facilities. Emergency services are available round the clock.
