The Chennai based artisanal house blends unique forms, methods, process and materials to craft unconventional apparels, accessories & lifestyle products. JK Atelier’s artisanal pieces are intricately crafted by multiple skilled artisans from various backgrounds of fine and visual arts. The label’s design philosophy is a reflection of creative lead Jaya Kumar’s complex vision which are executed with extreme attention to detailing and quality. A Jayakumar, the founder of JK Atelier is a knitwear design graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai. After a successful stint involving design and styling for movies, photoshoots & fashion shows under fashion designer Chaitanya Rao, Jayakumar was involved in multiple design projects with Department of Handlooms & Textiles, Chennai and leading retail labels including Pantaloons, Allen Solly & Rig. JK Atelier is his mission to bring together multiple artisans under one roof to recreate arts and cultural movements in avant-garde style.
