About Garima Shitoot

Garima's journey in dance spans over a decade. She is an alumna of Broadway Dance Center, New York City and DanceworX Performing Arts Company, New Delhi. She has trained extensively in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Funk styles with some of the best teachers, nationally and internationally.

Garima has worked with leading educational institutions across the country, and directed as well as choreographed numerous large-scale productions for schools and colleges. She has performed to great acclaim at a number of notable festivals, corporate shows and productions in India and in the U.S. Her dominant styles continue to be Jazz, Funk and Bollywood.

JAZZSOMEMORE Dance Company has been instituted with a vision. Our endeavour is to help people become the best dancers they can be. JAZZSOMEMORE dance format incorporates influences from Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Funk styles.

Designed around a globally-followed preset structure, the curriculum lays emphasis on the basic foundations of dance. Special attention is paid to the fundamentals, from dance-oriented workouts and stretching to strength building, coordination and body movement. Participants are also introduced to stage presence, performance ability and musical theater.

As the levels progress, the focus shifts to the complexities of Dance Combination and building of Musicality. Students are challenged by a higher degree of technique. Emphasis is laid on correct body alignment, posture, flexibility, extensions, speed, balance and memory while rehearsing a choreography.
