DKT Janani

A non-profit organization that provides family planning and comprehensive abortion care services in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.

Janani is affiliated to DKT- International, a non-profit organization based in Washington D.C. With 17 programs across 16 countries, DKT is one of the largest and most cost-efficient social marketing organizations in the world. Since 1989, DKT has been promoting family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention through social marketing in the developing world. In 2010, they sold over 512 million condoms, almost 61 million cycles of oral contraceptives, over 14 million three-month injectable contraceptives and more than 600,000 Intra Uterine Devices (IUDs) , and emergency contraception, implants, misoprostol/mifepristone, and Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA) kits.
