Jadavpur University Photographic Club (JUPC)

JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY PHOTOGRAPHIC CLUB (J.U.P.C.), since its birth in 1963-1964, has played a very important role in the national and international circuit of photography. It is one of the oldest photographic clubs in Asia, run by the students of Jadavpur University. JUPC has shown the path of glory to many photographers who have become prominent professional photographers themselves and it still continues to nurture the photographic talents in budding young enthusiasts. Every year,students join this place to learn and enhance their passion of photography,thus enriching the club with innovative ideas and new blood. Here the members are the mentors of their juniors.The club itself provides cameras and other equipment to the members.Every year we organize an annual event, which is either a national or international contest or members' exhibition. Since its inception, JUPC has organized 23 National Salons, 2 International Salons, 8 National Contests, 1 International Contest and 5 Members Exhibition till 2015.Two Rambles (Photographic tours) are organized every year....Keep in touch with this page to get recent updates of the club...Have fun...
