It all started in the early 1900s - Late Dawoodbhai Jafferjee Arsiwala, came to Mumbai from Jamnagar, Gujarat - to achieve and live his dreams. He worked at a glass shop and provided for his family.
In the year 1933, he stepped into the challenge of starting his own small business in Glass in the evergreen glass market - Abdul Rehman Street, of Bombay and named it as per those times in his name - Dawoodbhai Jafferjee Arsiwala.

When his son Late Esoofali Dawoodbhai Arsiwala - a drop out from school - but as if business was in his blood, with his elder brother, entered into the business, they gave Bombay a new era of Glass. The courage of major imports of Belgium Mirrors, and Sheet Glass from Japan, made the firm reach heights which nobody had forseen.
In 1958, the family expanded their reach across India, and also into Bangalore, by establishing - "Deccan Glass Emporium" as an exclusive wholesaler and distributor in imported mirrors, Sheet and Float Glasses, Tinted Glasses, etc. and were amongst the largest stockist in South India.

Since then, the firm has been associated with international glass giants like Glaverbel (Begium, Europe), Pilkington (U.K.), Saint Gobain (France), Asahi (Japan), Central Glass Co. (Japan), Spectrum Glass (USA), & also Indo Asahi Glass (IAG - Calcutta), Gutal (UAE) and Glasstech (India) and became major importers and wholesalers in Mumbai, across India.
As competition built up, and foreign companies set up their plants in India, and after Mr. Esoofali Arsiwala's untimely demise in 1989, the firm was carried forward by the family, and has specialized and diversified into more innovative glass markets.

Being in the glass industry for almost 80 years, and with Mr. Shabbir Esoofali Arsiwala's professional administrative backing and Mr. Moiz Shabbir Arsiwala's personal creative, hands-on experience and knowledge in glass, being trained in Istanbul, Turkey - under world-renowned Glass Artist & Sculptor - Vladimir Klein, from Czech Republic, Europe, we have now specialized in the segment of Imported Decorative Glass Products and related items, for glass decorators, designers & consumers.

In these four family generations in Glass. It is our constant endeavor to give our clients and customers what we are known for throughout these years - Innovative Quality Products and personal services at the all times. We are proud of what we have achieved over the years. However, there is a long way to go. India needs to be aware of Glass Art, techniques, processes, and innovative products, being used in other countries. And it is our dream to propagate this awareness and bring such products to India, to make India at par with other foreign countries like Italy, France, Germany, UK, Turkey, Spain, Czech Republic, USA, Russia etc. with decades of history in Glass Art and techniques.
