Institute of Hospitality, Management & Sciences (IHMS), a premier institution for undergraduate studies in the region of Garhwal was established in the year 2006 to address the emergent educational needs of the “YOUTH” of Uttarakhand.
The promoters have whole heartedly carried forward the legacy of Sub. Maj. Balbhadra Singh Negi credited to be erstwhile founder of Garhwal Rifles by creating an infrastructure that ably supports academic delivery of utmost standards under the aegis of Balbhadra Singh Negi Educational Society.
IHMS, in its first year of operation launched 3 years Bachelor Degree Program in Hotel Management (B.Sc. HM). The TEAM IHMS’s success was rewarded by subsequent addition of Three Year's Bachelor Degree Programs in Computer Applications, Business Administration and Information Technology in the following years.
One Year Certificate in Hotel Management program was introduced in the year 2007 under the IHMS banner catering to the class of students with limited affordability and for those who have the responsibility to be a contributor in household expenses within a short span after completing the secondary school level of studies i.e. Class 10th.
All the undergraduate programs are run under the flagship affiliation of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University (H.N.B), approved by UGC.
