AFTER CARE TIPS - TATTOO :-

Getting a tattoo is 50% of the job done. Remaining 50% is maintaining the tattoo that will help the tattoo look sharp and prominent. The first 2 weeks is the most crucial time to carefully follow the aftercare tips. Once the tattoo is completed, the tattooist will place a plastic wrap over the tattoo to protect it from dirt and other foreign objects.

Remove the wrap after 2 to 3 hours and gently wash the tattoo with water (ensure that the water is at room temperature).

Do not use soap to wash the tattoo unless it is a mild soap.

Pat dry the tattoo with a soft cloth immediately.

Apply very thin layer of Vitamin A&D or Soframycin, or Tat wax, just enough to keep the tattoo moist.

After Tattoo :-

DO’ S :

♦ Apply Vitamin A&D or Soframycin or Tat wax for minimum of 3 to 4 times a day to keep the tattoo area moist (drying out will make it hard for the skin to heal).

♦ Itching sensation on or around the tattoo is quiet common, it happens while the tattoo is healing (best way to avoid a very itchy tattoo is to moisturize it with Vitamin A&D or Soframycin, or Tat wax throughout the healing process).

♦ Apply the ointment till the scabs form and peel off; at this stage you can use baby oil or any non-reactive moisturizer to keep the tattoo moist.

DON’T ’ S :

♦ Do not bandage the tattoo and avoid tight clothing over the tattoo for a week (this helps to keep the tattoo from sticking to the cloth).

♦ Do not expose the tattoo to direct sun light for the next 3 to 4 days (sun burn on a fresh tattoo can cause severe irritation and allergy).

♦ Do not swim for next 3 weeks (chlorine in the swimming pool causes irritation and decolorizes the tattoo).

♦ Do not use any cosmetic or scented lotions.

♦ Do not peel the scabs off, they fall off on their own once the tattoo heals (peeling the scabs off can cause scarring and can ruin the tattoo).

♦ Do not work out /exercise, avoid stressing the tattooed area for next 1 week (avoid gym for a week).

♦ Do not shave, wax, or bleach on or around the tattoo preferably for a month.

AFTER CARE TIPS - PIERCING
Take few drops of the aftercare solution on an ear swab and clean it below and around the stud/ear ring.

After 2 to 3 days move the stud up and down and rotate it for easy settling of the stud on the skin.

Please change the stud only after a month.
