Indiranagar, Peroorkada

Indiranagar area is near the peroorkada city. Peroorkada is a residential locality in the Municipal Corporation of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) in the state of Kerala, India, It is located 7 km, north east, from Thiruvananthapuram Central Bus Station and on the way to Nedumangad and Ponmudi. Roads from Mannanthala, Vattiyoorkavu, Nedumangad and Ambalamukku meet at Peroorkada. Once a village, Peroorkada has seen rapid development over the last four decades with the setting up of a hospitals, shopping complexes and petrol pumps.
Peroorkada was earlier known as Maruthanmoodu after a giant Maruthan tree located in the town's center. Maruthanmoodu later acquired the name "Peroorkada" from the nearby town, which itself was named after a holy shrine, the Peroor Sree Krishna Swamy Temple, located there.
