Indira Gandhi Memorial Public School

This school is a symbol of real 'Shradhanjli' to our late prime minister Smt. Indira Gandhi who sacrificed her life for strengthening the unity of our nation.The school came into existence on 14th January 1996(Maker Sankranti ,Sambat 2052) with only thirteen students enrolled with three teachers under a retired experienced teacher as their principal.
Initially the aim of this school was to give primary education in English medium under the syllabus of C.B.S.E. in such rural area of district-Palamau.It was too difficult for the principal to manage a school in such area but he was encouraged by local government institutions and N.G.O to go forward in imparting quality education to poor children of this area.Slowly their parents were convinced with the result of Bihar school examination,year 2000 and then the number of students increased considerably. This School is providing a quality education upto secondary education level.The school management follows the principle of"No profit,No loss" system.
