Ichhawar is a lush green town near Bhopal.Ichhawar in Dist Sehore is well known for its Sharbati variety of Wheat and Soyabean.Recent development of intrest for Kabli Chana between farmers led to ample production of the product in the area.
As of 2001 India census, Ichhawar had a population of 12,688. Males constitute 52% of the population, and females 48%.
Mangoes and Orange Gardens of some farmers are the lucrative attraction in the seasons.
Although the Sqeezing mango or the "Choosne Wala Aam" is very popular in Ichhawar,and almost every person there in Ichawar ate it in his life time.

People in Ichhawar are very spritual and have many old monuments and worship places.Among them the Temple of Gilaoni Mata and The Temple of Kankarkhera derives much of belief for the people.
