HJD Institute of Technical Education and Research, Kera was established in 2010, situated in the natural surroundings at a distance of 24Km from Bhuj town of Kutch district in Gujarat. It is the first self - financed engineering college in Kutch, emerging under Shree Kanji Karsan Halai Education & Charitable Trust with a mission to enhance the current education systems. The college is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The organization is certified by ISO 9001-2008 which itself proves the objective of the institute to meet the highest standards of technology and professionalism word wide. Institute intends to follow the Vedic idiom "सा विद्या या विमुक्तये" to help students to face the challenges of life and to prove their caliber.

The utmost endeavour of the institute is to manage it in the most professional manner in order to create multidimensional personalities to cope up the continuously updated standards of competitive world. At present, the institute offers under graduate programmes in the following five branches viz. Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
