Himalaya Airlines

Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal-China joint venture, is fast growing private airlines of Nepal. Established in August 2014, Himalaya Airlines is a full service premium carrier. The airline started its first scheduled flight operations from May 31, 2016 flying directly to Doha, Qatar. Currently, the airline is making the direct flights to two more business and leisure destinations, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Yangon, Myanmar on regular basis.

Himalaya Airlines takes pride of having a diverse team of various nationalities with professional expertise and currently has over 300 employees.

Himalaya Airlines currently has 3 Airbus 320-214 series of narrow-body aircrafts in its fleet. Each aircraft has two seat configurations: 8 for Business class & 150 for economy class passengers. Himalaya Airlines received its first new Airbus on March 9, 2016, second Airbus on January 31, 2017 and just recently welcomed its third new airbus on March 31, 2017. The airline will also be receiving its fourth aircraft A319 in next months under wet lease, which will focus on China operation.
The airlines plan to add a number of exciting new destinations to its growing network within 2017, including Dubai from April 28, Dammam, Hong Kong and Bangkok in upcoming few months. Additionally the airlines plan to focus on China connectivity by adding up Beijing and Chengdu to its destination network and eventually to other cities like Lhasa, Kunming and Guangzhou.

Over the coming five years, the airline has a target of acquiring 15 aircraft's to connect Kathmandu with various new destinations in Asia and beyond. The Airlines will also introduce long haul wide body aircraft of A330 family in due course of time for the operation of direct flights to Japan, Korea, Europe, Australia, and America.

Himalaya Airlines’ in-flight entertainment system offers passengers with latest blockbusters movies, music, funny videos and documentaries. Passengers flying in Himalaya Airlines flights can also spend their quality time flipping through the in-flight magazine – Danfe.
