Hi-Tech Institute of Information Technology came to existence in the year 2001 with a few students to encourage & impact professional education in the tribal area of K.B.K Districts of Orissa. From the very inception, the Institute has gone through may epoch-making events in the journey over the last decade. The full-fudged institution with the introduction of Diploma Engineering course in the year 2007 has set for achieving newer heights of faculty, dedication of the students, commitment and cooperation of the (alumni) management under the able and dynamic leadership of the Director Dr. Deepak Ranjan Dash and persistant support of Chairman Sri N.Anand Rao. The student strength at present is 446 in Diploma Engineering branches Electrical, ETC, Civil Mechanical, AE & I and Computer Science Enginerring.

Presently the classes are conducted in a beautiful four storayed building at Hi-Tech Nagar, Umeri on the NH-43 road. The institution building has a State Art Library having about 3,000 volumes, well equipped A.C Cyber Lab and Electrical , ETC,Civil,Mechanical,AE&I, Physics and Chemistry Labs and as many class rooms for teaching. The above courses approved by AICTE, New Delhi, recognized by government of Orissa and affiliated to SCTE & VT, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. To add to this it as an ISO-9001 certified institute
