“Hashtagwaale” is a brand owned by Shichimi Hospitality Services (P) Limited, headed by Mr. Deep J. Banerjee and Mr. Naveen Pai.

Mr. Deep J. Banerjee comes from a financial consultancy background (Global Financial Instruments) and handles finance, marketing and PR of the company.

Mr. Naveen Pai handles operations, innovation and expansion.

Gama Hospitality which owned The Flying Monk, and currently runs the brands Coffee World, Cream and Fudge, and Panda Junction have associated with Shichimi Hospitality Services (P) Limited to launch “Hashtagwaale”.

As the name suggests, we are a lively Bar and Kitchen, serving food and drinks in our own unique style. Our food is not "fusion", instead we present the popular cuisine of contemporary India in a quirky fun way.

“Hashtagwaale” was conceptualised keeping in mind the need to create a soul space in Kolkata, which prides itself on being modern in approach and “desi” in attitude. The concept was co-created with the help of the very motivated team at Self Embossed, headed by Ranjini Chatterjee and Melvin Clayburn.

"Hashtagwaale" Bar offers a wide variety of beverages along with some amazing deals which the customers can avail, and aspires to be the first in the city to offer all possible listed alcoholic beverages. Amazing offers are the key to making the Hashtag Bar “the” pre-party hangout zone for you. Restaurant Manager Abhijit Sarkar and team ensure that the service is friendly and casual.

The food menu comprises of Indian and Italian, from Phuchka to Pizza, from Dhaba style Tadka & Butter Masala dishes to Grilled Fish & Chicken. The emphasis is on presenting wholesome food at affordable prices. The Chef and his team ensure that every bite is consistently fresh and fantastic.

The kind of music that is played in “Hashtagwaale” throughout the day and evening gives the place its Soul - unplugged versions of Folk, Sufi and Bollywood songs. The playlist is Indian with a twist. Music is curated by DJ Harish and team.

“Hashtagwaale” will soon introduce activities on each day of the week for the guests - from acoustic live bands, stand-up comedy acts, karaoke, supper theatre, storytelling and many more such exciting events.
