Handball Federation of INDIA

The Handball Federation of India (HFI) is the administrative and controlling body for team handball in India. The organization is a member of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) and the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 1974. Mr Jagat Singh Chauhan’s efforts in Germany during Munich Olympics helped in establishing Handball Federation of India.
Handball in India was introduced by Mr Jagat Singh Chauhan from Rohtak (Haryana) . He was the first Secretary General for handball Federation in India. In short, he was the founder and the father to the sport in India.
Though it isn’t a popular sport in India , it is an Olympic Sport. Don’t we all want to see India do well in Olympics and the Asian games ? Everyone does ! HANDBALL is a popular sport in India, played at local level but hasn't made it big in domestic level. India has yet to make an impact at international level and the world cup! So lets start from the scratch and make it big!
